Makeovers are ways to show that general designs and,
in particular, screen layouts can be improved.
Most of these were originally created for The GUIguy's seminars
and tutorials and have been excerpted for use on this site.
Permission to use these will likely be granted, but we request
that you contact us in advance.
Here's how the Makeovers work:
First, an original, untouched screenshot will be shown. Take
a look at the screenshot and try to identify what you would
change, how, and why. When you are finished with your observations
click the graphic. With each click, one more set of errors
will be revealed. Then, they will all be shown together (a
reprise). The next click will show the makeover.
To start over, click your browser's Refresh button to return
to the original screenshot. Then call in your colleagues and
challenge them to find the design errors!
