Security from intrusion and protection from Internet scams, viruses, worms, and trojan software have become increasingly important to everyone who uses a computer. This notification list is an attempt to inform people about what is happening in this particular arena.

The intention is to collect the information from various sources, and then compile it in plain English so that it can be understood and acted upon. Although the subscribe and unsubscribe system is automated, the actual notices will be sent out by a real person!

By using this web-based subscribe/unsubscribe system, you can use any email account you wish, even one that is not set up in your email software. (Many users subscribe with one of their "public" e-mail addresses and have mail automatically forwarded to their personal e-mail address. Subscribing and unsubscribing from your email software — unless the account is actually set up — is not possible with that system.)

BTW...some of the automated replies from the server may be in "geek-speak." I have no control over them so I apologize in advance. If you get one of them, please let us know and we will attempt to do something. (No guarantees…)
